Every time one of the aforementioned sites is accessed and every time a file is retrieved, general data about the process are automatically saved in a log file. Art. 6 (1) e) GDPR).

Use of the Matomo analysis tool

We use the Matomo web analysis service (formerly Piwik) on our servers to improve the quality of our website and its content. The Matomo tool tells us how the website is used, allowing us to keep optimising our service.

We only use Matomo with the IP address anonymity function enabled. This means that it is generally not possible to identify specific individuals because the IP address is stored in anonymous format immediately after processing. The IP address transmitted by Matomo will not be associated with other data collected by us.

The legal basis for the processing of data using Matomo is Art. 6 (1) e) GDPR in conjunction with section 4 LDSG because there is a public interest in the efficient operation, the optimisation (especially user-friendliness) and the usage analysis of our website.

The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for our records and administrative purposes.
