Take the whole family on a tour with a difference, walking through the town to the Garten der zwei Ufer Two Shores Garden.
Collect clues to the mystery at eight stations and solve the riddles. Pay close attention to details!
The booklet is suitable for all children, with riddles designed for three different age groups (4-6 years, 7-9 years and 10 years and above).
There is a little reward with each booklet purchased.

“Alcedos Abenteuer” outdoor escape game
Only available in German and French!
The Kehl outdoor escape game for children between the ages of 7 and 12 follows Alcedo on his adventures and is a great way to get to know our town – especially its beautiful areas of parkland – in a playful way by solving riddles and conundrums. There are puzzles to be solved at eight different locations in Kehl in order to gather clues about Alcedo and his whereabouts.
Dastardly criminals are planning to kidnap Alcedo, the environmental mascot of Kehl. Alcedo is lucky and just manages to escape his kidnappers. He has left you, his friends, a backpack with clues which will lead you to his hiding place. But the criminals are still hot on his trail! The race is on. Will you manage to find Alcedo and save him from his pursuers?
What is the target age group?
The game is suitable for children between the ages of 7 and 12 accompanied by adults. We recommend a group size of 3 to 5 children.
Duration and price
- The tour is around 2.5km long and takes around 120 minutes.
- The price per game is 18 euro, regardless of the number of people.
- A deposit of 50 euro (in CASH) must be paid for the backpack.
- The game is in two languages (German/French).

Nature trails in Kehl and the surrounding area
Kehl Rhine forest nature trail
The idyllic location of the trail in the middle of the Rheinwald Rhine forest allows you to relax and unwind and leave the daily grind of urban life behind you. The branches of the Rhine are accessible at many watering holes, offering pleasant refreshment in the summer. In the middle of the forest, however, there are also two meadows with fruit trees providing a habitat for entirely different species. The nature trail as a whole illustrates the importance of protecting nature. (Length of trail: 3.6km)

Riparian forest trail (Altenheim)
The riparian forest trail is a place full of adventure in every season of the year. Be there in spring when nature is throwing off its shackles, bursting into life and putting out verdant shoots everywhere. Enjoy the cool shade of the alluvial forest and feel the relief from the heat on hot summer days. There can be a sinister atmosphere when huge trees suddenly appear out of nowhere in the grey November fog, forming the eerie impression of mighty giants. (Length of trail: 2.5km)
The riparian forest trail is only accessible when there is no heavy flooding. There is a traffic light guide at the entrance to the trail explaining whether it is safe according to the water level indicated by the gauge.
