Discover Strasbourg

An excursion to Strasbourg

Fancy some sightseeing and shopping in a big city? Then a short ride on public transport will take you to Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace. Take a stroll through the picturesque old town and get a flavour of the “savoir-vivre” lifestyle. The view of this UNESCO World Heritage Site from the tower of the cathedral is particularly impressive.

Tram to Strasbourg

  • Public transport access to Strasbourg is by tram line D in the direction of Poteries and the three available stops in Kehl are Kehl Rathaus, Hochschule/Läger and Kehl Bahnhof, meaning the town hall, university/Läger and railway station respectively.
  • The journey to the centre of Strasbourg takes around 20 minutes and there is no need to change (get off at the “Langstross” or “Homme de Fer” stop).
  • Alternatively, there is a train from Kehl and Kehl-Kork to Strasbourg city centre.
  • We recommend the P+R car park behind the railway station in Kehl for parking (free of charge).

The following flyer is available with detailed information on public transport from Kehl to Strasbourg: “from the center of Kehl to Strasbourg by public transport” (576 KB).
